Heatheronahill

For our very first Writer's Showcase, I would like to introduce you to Heatheronahill, who joined the Flame only one month ago! Let's welcome Heatheronahill to the community.

Heatheronahill: "I have always been a fan of poetry because I enjoy the rules that go with it and the way the verse rolls off the tongue. I have been writing poetry since the age of four, when I had to tell people what I wanted written down. I had never tried my hand at writing stories until recently. I heard about brigits_flame when I was searching LiveJournal for poetry writing communities. When I checked it out that day, I decided it wasn't for me, so I passed it over. A few days later, I was on a poetry community that I like to write for when I saw a post about Brigit's Flame. It was about the July contest, and I decided that Fate wanted me to be associated with this community for some reason, so I immediately joined.

"I love to write, but I have problems doing so because ideas pop in my head at the most awkward moments. I've never had any formal training, but I love to make up characters and give them backgrounds. I enjoy the challenge of trying to make my characters connect. I always begin with the names and eye and go from there, because a person's name and eye color tell you everything about them. I think that my writing process has something to do with my art background. I do portraits and action scenes. I hope one day to write a book and publish it. A few short weeks ago I only wrote poetry, but now I am inspired to branch out and write more complex literature."
